There are so many expectations, pressures, excitement, and all the feels that come along with a new year. For some people, the change of calendar can bring extra motivation and clarity, while others can find January to be anxiety-provoking.

All emotions are valid, especially given the many unknowns, including the continuous impact of climate change, economic uncertainty, and the prevalence of artificial intelligence.

We check in with our entrepreneurs every December and January to see how they approach the upcoming year. Here are their responses for 2025.

"I'm focusing on being 100 in all areas of life – mind, body, spirit, and transformation. The better you take care of yourself, the better outcomes you will have in business and in life." Baronessa Bonano, Billi Coffee
"I'm laser-focused on profitability in 2025. What strategies can I utilize to ensure profitability, and how can I restructure to make that goal a reality? That is my priority this year." Kathrin Henon, Planet Bake
"I've been reading "Ramping Your Brand: How to Ride the Killer CPG Growth Curve." This year, I want to focus on growth and how to get to a million dollars in revenue the first two years." Veronica Panzardi, Edggies Veggies
"This year, I'm embracing balance. I need to think of running my business as a marathon and not a sprint. With that being said, the priority is sales. Everyone has ideas about your business but at the end of the day, if you don't know your focus, you are loss." Lynn Scarborough, Cheeza Pleeza
"This year I really want to be more intentional. In the past, I feel like I've been throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks; however, I'm bringing purpose to 2025 and determining where I'm going to be most successful." Ellana Stinson, Safo Hair

Bottom Line: We all handle a new year differently. For additional ways to approach January, check out "Resolve to Shape the Narrative this Year" and "Enthuse Foundation's Ins and Outs for a Successful New Year."
