Nine Corporate Sponsors Share the Wealth and Select 10 Businesses for Financial Grants
New York, NY – June 27, 2023
The Enthuse Foundation announced the ten winners of the second round of its grant program, which aims to directly solve the challenges women entrepreneurs face. Each awardee will receive $2,500 to be used as outlined by their specific grant.
Winners were selected based on financial need, planned use of funds, and estimated impact on the overall business' bottom line.
Here are the grants and respective winners:
Business Tools Grant sponsored by Webster Bank – Amie Kesler, Carolyn's Krisps. Carolyn's Krisps, based in Chicago, is a third-generation family recipe reimagined by Carolyn's granddaughter, Amie, into a 100% plant-based wonder snack. These cookie crackers blend the texture of a cookie with the Krisp of a cracker.
Child Care Grant sponsored by BTR Nation – Jessica Williams, Schmaltz & Vinegar. Schmaltz & Vinegar, based in Chicago, is a catering business specializing n contemporary comfort foods with a Jewish influence.
Community Building Grant sponsored by Inspiro Tequila – LaKeasha Brown, 1987 Juices. 1987 Juices, based in North Hollywood, CA, is an all-natural juice and cleanse brand.
Digital Marketing Grant sponsored by SIA Scotch Whisky – Talia Boone, Postal Petals. Postal Petals, based in West Hollywood, CA, is an immersive floral & wellness startup that uses fresh-cut flowers and do-it-yourself flower arranging to promote creative expression as a form of mindfulness and self-care.
Digital Marketing Grant sponsored by Hamlin Creative – Nadean Carson, OYA Construction. OYA Construction, based in Roanoke, VA, is an expert in the stormwater industry by installing and maintaining sediment and erosion control measures on construction sites.
Digital Marketing Grant sponsored by Hamlin Creative – Sensi Graves, Sensi Graves Swim. Sensi Graves Swim, based in Hood River, OR, is a sustainably and ethically made swimwear.
Health Insurance Grant sponsored by Daigle & Travers – Muna Mohamed, Kalsoni. Kalsoni, based in Minneapolis, is a purpose-driven lifestyle and activewear brand that is culturally faith-baith-inclusive and reflects the values of modesty.
Insurance Grant sponsored by The Alera Group – Jordan Catapano, This Girl Walks Into a Bar: Mixers + Snacks. This Girl Walks Into a Bar, based in Pacific Palisades, CA, are beverage mixers and bar snacks created to complete and enhance your bar setup.
Rainy Day Fund sponsored by C/OLABWORKS – Anna Sullivan, Real Food Bar. Real Food Bar, based in greater Austin, TX, are plant-based protein bars made with upcycled ingredients.
Retirement Grant sponsored by Alliant – Naijean Bernard, Jeany's Caribbean Elixirs. Jeany’s Caribbean Elixirs, based in greater Austin, TX, is a handcrafted, artisanal beverage made from whole fruits and veggies.
"Wow, our grant program continues to attract a record number of applicants and supporters," said Kim Lawton, co-founder of the Enthuse Foundation and Enthuse Marketing. "This year, we expanded our grants offered by four and received 1500 submissions compared to 400 in 2022. Women from all different backgrounds are starting their businesses and are eager to take them to the next level. My co-founders, Kristy Snyder and I, are honored to continue to pay it forward to the next generation of women business owners and leaders.
