This year’s International Women’s Day theme, #BalanceForBetter, is particularly meaningful to us. Over the past year, we’ve been involved in numerous conversations centered around its central themes: the gender pay gap, female entrepreneurship, and the need for more female role models and mentors. And, we’re not the only ones! It seems that the entire world is waking up to the fact that women are still striving for equality in the workplace. Whether they’re climbing up the corporate ladder or seeking funds to launch their own business, it’s widely acknowledged that women still struggle to keep up with their male counterparts.
We wanted to do our part to change that. In November, we launched the Enthuse Foundation. Since then, we’ve developed a website that includes resources, inspiration, and educational information for women at every stage of business development, we’ve hosted pitch nights to offer constructive feedback to women who are seeking funding, we’ve developed a mentoring platform that includes an interactive app, and we’re actively working with women to offer financial support and business guidance.
While we’re outwardly supporting female entrepreneurs, we also look inward. We take an active role in the professional growth and development of our own Enthuse Marketing team members - 50% of which are female - and have made wellness and work-life balance an integral part of our culture. In fact, in 2018, we were recognized by the Best and Brightest awards for our innovative wellness program.
We are excited to continue to push our agenda forward and continue to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality for a more balanced workplace and a better world.
